why so expensive?

am in dire need of rug addition in our new house but simply can't afford a new one. so i decided to make my own DIY rug. i did some research and came up with these lovelies.

cut-it-out felt rug by theresa gonzalez and nicole smith of craftstylish in their book, dorm decor, via etsy's how-tuesday. i know this one won't be a simple project, but am sure it will be worth it!
