DIY Paper Leaves

If you've been wondering how to make the perfect paper leaves, then this post in perfect for you!

Welcome to my first DIY post in 2019! 

What you need:

Colored paper (any color you want)
Scissors

Pencil

Ruler

Love

What you do:

1. Measure and cut the size of the leaf that you want to make in the shape of a rectangle. I didn't want to make it too big, so I went with 40x20 cm. 

2. Fold the rectangle in half along the longer side.

3. Start by drawing the half outline sketch of the leaf , starting from the tip. This will be your guide to the shape of the leaf you want to make. I wanted to make a banana leaf, so mine looked like this.

Note: Leave a minimum of 0.5 cm space along the fold for midrib.

4. Draw the details of the blade.

 5. Cutout your leaf.

and..Voila!

Now that you've made your first leaf, you can make other leaves in different sizes, shapes, and colors. And here's a few websites that provide free templates should you run out of shape ideas ;)
